Life Quilt 22

In “Life Quilt 22”, I have constructed a quilted tapestry of “personal folklore”, which I define as the repeated spoken word stories which become part of my community. These narratives become the building blocks of identity, as within these stories we recognise our friends and family, morality, and lived experiences. I consider “Life Quilt 22” an illustration of the sewing circle, a space for people to create together and build something meaningful.
